The Annual Meeting of Postgraduates in Reception of the Ancient World (AMPRAW) is in need of a host for its sixth meeting in 2016. The 2015 AMPRAW was held at the University of Nottingham in December, and featured a wide range of classical reception papers from delegates who travelled from Brazil, Holland, Spain, Greece, Italy, Germany, France, and all over the United Kingdom. In addition, the conference featured an exciting keynote address from Birmingham’s Gideon Nisbet, a translation workshop and a practitioner workshop led by the acclaimed poet Clare Pollard. Previous AMPRAW conferences have been held at Exeter, Birmingham, and UCL, and have all attracted high quality guest speakers and keynote papers.
To ensure that AMPRAW 2016 maintains this high standard we are launching a competitive call for applicants to host the next meeting. Any group of postgraduate students is encouraged to apply for consideration to the AMPRAW 2015 committee (email@example.com). To apply, we would appreciate a short description of the institution where you intend to host the conference, a list of your founding committee members, possible theme(s) and directions in which you would take AMPRAW, alongside any other information that you deem relevant. Please send your proposal of no more than one page to us via email.
The deadline for applications is the 28th of February 2016.
